A Message from King Kor
|
30-JUN-1999 |
Kor the Orc King
As we begin defending the fort and going on patrol, as newbie orcs, it is very likely that we will die. Don't worry. Since orcs don't carry anything important on them, there is little lost. All armor and weapons are supplied by the Clan, and will be replaced. The important focus right now should be on increasing combat skills.

Clan numbers are increasing rapidly. Kor currently having very little time to train and command -- busy getting supplies and getting Orcs added to Clan Stone. Kor will randomly choose grunts to be in charge of certain tasks (hunting, training, etc.), for now.

A Meeting
|
04-JUL-1999 |
Written by Corlith the Sage
Kor the Orc King... I bring a message to you from afar.
A 'man' known as Derv'ald wishes to meet with you at the Gathered Spirits Tavern at 7:30 pm PST on July 10, 1999. (that's right... in the humie lands.)
Derv'ald says he comes to bring you a message, but would tell me no more. He said that you would likely be reluctant to leave the Land of Kor, so he told me to ask you if, you miss the Underdark? He said that should be enough to ensure that you come to meet him.
Good day to you King Kor.

Summoning of Da'Nogra
|
20-JUL-1999 |
Written by Scribe of Kor
Kor successfully summoned Da'Nogra a few days ago. A few orcs were present at the fort to see Da'Nogra.
Kor asked Da'Nogra if we should ally with the Lich Lord Thanatos. Da'Nogra indicated that Thanatos is powerful, especially since he channels his power from Zar Tol Mar.
Da'Nogra also told Kor the specifics of the alliance, part of which Kor found most shocking and remains untold to all others.

Kor didn't seem horribly upset. He indicated that he would wait to see what happened. If indeed, many patrols of urks did start coming, Kor said he would use some of the guild's finest trackers to find out where the urks were coming from.

Today Kor travelled to a humie market place, to find a seller of a black dye tub. As Kor approached the humie city, he cast a Disguise spell on himself. Taking the appearance of a humie, he entered the city, and went quickly to the market place. The stench of the humie city was almost unbearable to Kor, and he began to feel woozy.
Kor found a merchant that was selling a black dye tub. This humie was a tough negotiator, and while Kor was talking about the price, trying to use humie language, he felt his Disguise spell, begin to leave him. Kor quickly cast another Disguise spell, but when he turned to look at the merchant, the look in his face certainly told Kor, that he had recognized him for who he was.
The merchant, at first seemed fearful or in shock, then he began to grin. Kor was not sure if that humie disliked his kin, or whether he had other plans, but the humie, Ruin, then just shove the black dye tub into Kor's hands, and said there would be no charge. Ruin, then wished the Orcs of Kor a prosperous and continued existance, and then he cast a magic spell and teleported away.
Kor looked down in awe, at the the tub in his arms. Kor is still not sure if this is a humie trick, but for now Kor has named Ruin a Chummer.

Orcs Loose Elvzie Bow
|
21-AUG-1999 |
Written by Scribe of Kor
Prior to the Orc and Elf war, Kor gathered the orcs at the Urk Fort do discuss the coming battle. Kor said a prayer to Da'Nogra. Soon after, there was a great shimmering of light, and out stepped Da'Nogra.
The orcs all stood in fear and in shock as Da'Nogra spoke:
"Da'Nogra notice dat the Orcs need majuk help in da tide of da kuming Urk War."
"Da'Nogra bring back Tor'ghat frum da Gray Plane of the Dead."
"Da'Nogra nub able to fully restore his decaying body."
"Tor'ghat will continue his life as a Necrolyte, and today he shall greatly assist yu in da war Elvzie war."
In another flash of light, Da'Nogra vanished, leaving behind a somewhat pale, and rotting undead orc necrolyte, Tor'ghat.
The orcs reacquainted themselves with Tor'ghat, who had left the material plane after being slain in combat and was granted passage into the Gray Plane of the Dead. Kor then gave some final battle instructions, and then told Xnath to lead the orcs to where Kor had buried the bow.
After some time, the battle finally ensued. The 17 orcs fought the 23 elvzies with bitter determination. Krimping and Clomping was proving to be most effective, but alas, the elvzie magic was too much for the outnumbered orcs. The orcs began to fall one by one.
Finally, Kor also was felled, but not after his krimp group slaughtered 3-4 elvzies. An elf, shouting and gloating, retreived the mystical elven bow off Kor's corpse.
After the battle was over, the elves resurrected the orcs. This was a painful experience for the orcs to bear -- to be helped by elzies. No orc or elf looted any corpse, but a human passing through the battlefield did. He was killed, but did report one elf for murder, which turned the elf red. Although the orcs were slaughtered, the battle was well fought by both sides. After being resurrected, Kor spat at the ground of Gunther's feet, "This is not over Gunther". At first, a wave of rage crossed Gunther's face, but then he simply smiled and said, "We shall see."

Kor Captures Humie House - New Nekro Shak
|
23-AUG-1999 |
Written by Scribe of Kor
For several days, Kor has had his eyes on a humie house which lies within the Land of Kor borders. On a routine patrol, Kor spotted the house owner, locking up his house.
Kor approached the humie. The humie appeared startled, and backed away, slowly putting his house key into his belt pouch. The humie announced himself as Jaxs, a member of the Special Forces of Yew. Kor told the humie that he must vacate the house, as it was on orc land. Jaxs, smiled at this comment.
Jaxs said this land belonged to the people of Yew, and that no Orc shall interfere with him, while he was on Yew land.
Kor simply shugged, and told him that if necessay, he will burn down the house. Jaxs began to look a little disturbed by this though. No doubt he heard of the burning of the Gathered Spirits Tavern. Kor again told the humie to get off Orc land.
Jaxs looked very angered at this point. He realized that should he leave his home, it would be burnt down. In a fit of rage, Jaxs drew his sword and charged Kor.
Anticipating this action from the stupid humie, Kor advanced with a sheild bash to Jaxs sword. Kor followed his attack by driving his mace down upon Jaxs knee, resulting in a large cracking sound. As Jaxs' knee bent backwards, he lost all balance, and while engulfed in shear pain, he fell forward. Kor now bashed is shield onto the back of Jaxs' head has he fell.
Kor stood and looked at the fallen foe. Blood seeped from the links of his chainmail pants, by Jaxs knee. Blood also flowed from Jaxs' mouth. "An easy kill", Kor thought to himself. He removed the pouch from the fallen foe, and extracted a key. Being skilled in the tinkering arts, Kor quickly changed the lock on the house. After sorting through the contents of the house, finding nothing of value, Kor closed and locked the door.
Kor noticed that there was a pool of blood in front of the door, but the humie Jaxs, no longer lied within it. Kor quickly looked around for a trail of blood leading away, but he could not find such. Kor journied to the fort to find a scout, but alas, they were all out hunting.
Kor dismissed the concern of hunting down the humie, and began transfering the contents of the Nekro Shak, to the clan's New Nekro Shak.

War Declared by SFY
|
06-SEP-1999 |
Written by Scribe of Kor
Today, Kor approached da Clanstone Shak, and found da following note, nailed tu da door. Kor say dabu tu Rok, of da Special Forces of Yew, cauz da orcs were running low on nails.
"Late last eve, I was startled from my sleep by the frantic pounding at my front door. The dark hooded figure spoke not a word, but motioned that I should follow him. The dim light from my lamp spilled across his face and revealed the troubled look in the Monk's eyes. I dressed with a sense of urgency and quickly followed the dark figure. He led me to the healer K' Jal in Yew. There in his Den sat Jaxs, one of my elite guild members, nursing his bloodied and bandaged knee. I pulled up a chair across from him, put a hand to his shoulder and listened as he relayed the events of that night. Jaxs said that as he was departing his home he was approached by an ill-tempered ork. The ork demanded possession of the home, citing that it was on ork land. He wanted Jaxs to leave immediately. Realizing that this was Kor the King of the ork clan, and a mighty foe, Jaxs decided to attack and end the conflict once and for all. He knew the difference between victory and defeat rest on the casting of a strong offensive spell. He reached down into his pouch to pull out the necessary reagents, but alas, he had run out of nightshade and sulphurous ash. Victory would not be with him this night. I assured Jaxs that this great injustice wrought upon him would be avenged.
I immediately called upon my General Vala Morgoth, and appraised him of the situation. General Morgoth informed me that he feared an event of this nature might occur, as the ork's had become very aggressive as of late. Their general nuisance as pests was becoming more of a scourge upon the peaceful citizens of Yew. The Ork's had increased the number of raids upon the people, and only last week had burned the Gathered Spirit's Tavern to a pile of ash.
It is because of these actions by the vile and loathsome ork's that we call together our troops to ratify a Declaration of War. Having all in attendance affirm there support, we hereby decree the following:
Declaration of War:
Whereas the Ork's of Kor have committed unprovoked acts of war against the people of Yew: Therefore be it Resolved By the members of the Special Forces of Yew, That the state of war between the Ork's of Kor has thus been thrust upon us is hereby formally declared; All guild members are authorized and directed to employ any means necessary to carry out war against the Ork's of Kor; and, to bring the conflict to a successful termination.
