Another Ancient Orc Tome Found!

09-NOV-2000
Written by Scribe of Kor

During Marfu's studies in researching our orc ancestors, he discovered that the missing Tome may infact be located in the dungeon Covetous. Several orcs immediately set out and searched the cave for any signs of the book. Some humans attempted to halt their progress, but quickly the humans we laid to rest.

After their bloodlust for killing humans had been sated they continued out on their way to search for the book. Many harpies surrounded the orcs, trying to obrstuct their mission. Blood, bone chips and feathers quickly coated the cave floor, as the Orcs of Kor continued their patrol.

The orcs went deeper within the recesses of the the cave, fighting creatures the entire way. It seemed that these monsters must certainly be protecting something quite valuable. The orcs trudged through the den. Alas, sticking out from a pile of dirt and straw, they could see what looked like the edge of an ancient tome. This pile, though was in fact a nest. Several Dread Spiders, descended upon the Orcs. Although slightly surprised, the Orcs determined to let nothing to stand between their way and the tome. After a great battle, and many curings of poison, the Orcs seized the book.

The tome indeed was a book from the ancient orcs which cronicles details of Da'Nogra and the creation of the species in the world. The orcs, proudly returned to the Orc Fort, to give the book to the Orcish Mages to study.

Urks Try To Seize Furt!

Written by Kor the Orc King

A great viktury!

Da Orcs hab just finished beating sum trez'pazerz at a game uv nives. Da Orcs gut higher scure un nive board, and wun duble dere shines. Da luzers quikly left as da Orcs celebrated anudder viktury (dabu tu Kor fur almust striking da centur uv da bullzeye). Much ale wuz drunk!

Kor nutized dat while playing da nive game, dat mani urks had nuw enterred da furt. Kor urdered a furt clearing! Da Orcs, with guda orcish ale (and sume humie ale dat da trez'pazers gib), rushin thru dere veins, were very deadly in dere wild swings. Da urks and tu-heds fell kwikly. Just as da Orcs were luutin da urks and luukin fur mure ale tu drinki, an explushun ripped apart da frunt duurs of da furt. In came rushin a Urk Mage Lurd, in pinkish-red war paint.

Kor waved at da Orcs, tuld dem tu keep luukin fur ale, Kor wuld tak care uv dis Urk alune. Oki, su Kor underasta... undaresti... thut da Urk Mage Lurd wuz weeker. Da Mage cast majuk after majuk at Kor, despite da hevi clomps frum Kor's War Mace. Da Orc truups, knuwing dere Keng waz in truble, kwikly rushed to Kor's aid. Da Orcs krimped da Mage and begun clomping. Da Orc Mage tried tu be sneeki by switch'n whu it wuld clomp. Tupid Urk. Nub dem Urks knuw da Orcs are trained tu watch each uther, and heali if needed. Kor laffed at da Mage. Varug laffed tu. Varug nuticed dat da Orcs were using luts uv healies, su grimacing at leebing a clomp, Varug rushed intu da Clan Shak and grabbed lutz uv healies fur all Orcs.

Splinters flew frum da furt entrance frum wut wus left uv da duurs, just as Varug returned tu da clomp. Twu Urk Cheevtans in bluu war paint rushed in and engaged da Orc Troops. Search for Blight

18-NOV-2000
Written by Scribe of Kor

Having heard of the appearance of the great Shadow Dragon Blight, and his declaration of war against humies, the Orcs attempted to seek him out. Kor the Orc King led an orcish patrol, southwards, towards the Cave of Destard, hoping to find the Shadow Dragon and attempt to forge an alliance.

At first it seemed like a regular patrol. A few badies dared to stand in the Orc's way. A few humies either ran at their presence or paid tribute to not be slain. A red eyed humie murderer even joined the patrol, seeking to assist in the collection of tributes. All was normal.

A large shadow descended and landed with a large thump to the ground. A dragon. Kor the Orc King attempted to parlay with it, but the great dragon had no interest in talking. The dragon focussed its attacks on King Kor, hoping to demoralize the Orc troops by slaying their king. "Tupid Dragun!" That just made the orc troops more ferocious!

Soon the corpse of the dragon layed on the road, as a symbolic reminder of what happens when you mess with the Orcs of Kor. Onwards, the Orcs continued their southward patrol.

The orcs met up with some green robed, travelling monks. The monks offerred crates of their fine wines and ciders. "Tupid munks!" The Orcs were greatly offended by this, and were preparing to slay the robed humies.

A great rustling in the trees off the side of the road, could be heard. The orcs quickly took a defensive stance, as a small army of Urks and Ettins came rampaging out of the foilage. The Orcs, shouted their war cry and engaged the force, laughing at the pathetic attack. They did not see the second dragon land.

Caught between an army of Urks and a Dragon, it took awhile until the Orcs formed into effective Krimp and Heal teams. Although half the Orcs fell to these foes, the Orcs were triumphant!

Having spent much time looting their kills and cutting off some good chunks of dragon meat to eat later, the orcs had just continued their journey, when Brek the Orc Shaman who was trailing behind, came running towards the patrol group, bleeding from many wounds and nearly dead. A humie named Steve, having tried to ambush Brek, quickly turned and fled. As many humies have learned before him, no humie on foot can outrun an enraged Orc! The humie met the fate that he tried to inflict upon Brek.

After what seemed to be an endless walk, the Orcs arrived at the entrance to the Cave of Destard. Just as the Orcs were about to enter, a Dragon emerged. Much like the other dragons already encountered, this dragon showed no need to want to talk to the Orcs. As the orcs battled the Dragon, several red eyed humie murderers soon appearred. They watched the actions of the orcs very closely.

After falling the latest Dragon, it appearred to Kor the Orc King, that Blight the Shadow Dragon, was not welcoming the Orc's presence, and was trying to deter them. "Bah, Tupid Dragun!" The orcs charged into the Cave!

In after thought, Kor had realized that the clan could have benefited from some cannon fodder... err.. an Orc Scout. The Orcs charged into a great pile of Drakes and Dragons. Although the orcs were able to slay a couple drakes, there were just too many. Kor quickly ran through the cave looking for Blight, but was unable to find him. As Kor returned to the cave mouth it seemed the few orcs that did not fall prey to the great beasts, then fell to an even greater evil. The humie murderers Gambit and Darth Xio were killing the wounded orcs, the moment they departed the Cave.

Fortunately, Gul'dan was able to assist, by quickly opening a magic portal to the orc fort. Although some equipment was lost, the mission was completed. Blight was no-where to be seen, and he obviously wanted nothing to do with the Orcs. Kor the Orc King then declared that once Blight realizes that he can not conquer the humies alone, that he will have to come to Kor to ask assistance.

As Kor had fallen in the battle, it was deemed time to declare a new Fang of Kor. Four orcs, dared to compete for this position. Only one walked away. Gurthelo. A quick drinki-fest was held to honor Gurthelo, Fang of Kor!

During the celebrations, Gambit and Darth Xio arrived at the orc camp. They were determined to slay more orcs. Little did they know, that it is nearly impossible to defeat the orcs in their own element. The Orc Fort. Quickly, Darth Xio fell. Gambit, showing the tactics of an elvzie, attempted to run away. Kog and Kor gave chase. In the end, he learnt that no humie can outrun mad orcs determined on vengeance.

Orcs Catpure Land

20-NOV-2000
Written by Scribe of Kor

Many humies have deserted the lands around the Land of Kor. The orcs have decided to seize this opportunity. We will be extending our patrols out further, scouting for choice land to take over.

Our most recent land expansion has been to the west of the Land of Kor, to the outer edge of a Humie Village. Also captured in the name of ORK is "Orc Pass", which is a passage though the great mountain range to our south. Although few humies were encountered, the few we did, put up a pitifull resistance.

Soon we will be securing land to our north to assist us in controlling the great waterway which leads to our fort. We will deem this large body of water to be a Sea and we shall also name it.

Below is a drawing showing the Land of Kor in yellow, and the newly claimed land in red.

Uglug Defends Urk Lord Assault

22-NOV-2000
Written by Scribe of Kor

It was late in the "muun", when Uglug took his shift, guarding the Orc Fort. All the Orcs were either sleeping or on patrol. The Urks seemed to know this, and attempted to capture the fort by sending forth many Urk Lords.

Uglug noticed the horde of Urk Lords bashing their way through the trees, closing on the Orc Fort. The situation did not look good. Uglug, stood alone in the fort, outnumbered. His job was to defend the fort. He was determined to do his job. A humie saying of "I will do it or die trying", flashed through his head. "Bah, Tupid Humies", Uglug thought. "Just Du!".

Uglug stood his ground and faced off with the Urk Lords as they charged into attack him. Blood, bones, skin, teeth and other miscellanseous body parts soon litterred the ground of the fort. Uglug, screaming his cry to Da'Nogra the whole time, remained defiant. He was an Orc Defender, simply doing his job. And he did it well. After what seemed like a brief moment of time, Uglug stood alone in the fort, coated in blood and gore. Uglug looked at the grotesque visage he had become. He grinned proudly.

The proud Orc Defender searched the urk corpses until he found some half drank bottles of Ale. A good "muun" indeed!

Kog, Fang of Jyrra??

25-NOV-2000
Written by Uglug

Uglug woke up to find three green robes outside talking with Kog. It seems Kog wanted a war mace crafted by Jyrra but Jyrra wasn't so easy to let go of this gift so freely. The green robe proposed a dart contest (or it could have been Kog that proposed it.)

The terms, stated by Jyrra, were as follows: If Kog wins, Jyrra gives him a war mace crafted by... Jyrra. If Jyrra wins, Kog becomes Jyrra's Fang to protect the green robe as he would protect Kor. To this Kog was taken aback but, after a time, agreed. We moved over to the shak where the dart board stood on the wall.

Kog started throwing, many grunts issued from the surounding orcish croud as Kog made a formidable score of 50. Uglug, standing close by, witnessed Jyrra chant to Da'Nogra as Kog had done and start throwing. The orc crowd went out of control with incomprehensable gabbering and grunting. It seemed Jyrra had hit the bullseye once and ended up with a score of 111. To this Kog was greatly upset at having to protect a green robe as he would protect the Keng. Surely no orc could show more loyalty to anything else other than Kor.

Uglug, seizing the opportunity, shouted out "Hur! Uglug wana play tuu!" although in his mind he was determind to defend his warboss and free him from this tight spot. Kog seemed to like the idea as he proposed that he would clomp Uglug if Uglug didn't help him get out of this mess, as only a good warboss should. Uglug knew what he had to do and proceeded to try and convice Jyrra to let him compete for Kog's freedom. But Jyrra couldn't understand what the big deal was, not being an orc. The green robe simply thought this a matter of fun and Kog would be delighted to be his Fang. No blame goes to Jyrra for this, not being an orc he/she doesn't fully understand the fanatic loyalty they have for their Keng.

Uglug could only come up with the wager "Iv Uglug win Kog nub Fang. Iv yu win buth Kog und Uglug ar Fang". After quite some time of discussing and repeated declines from Jyrra (He didn't want another Fang.) Uglug finally said it bluntly and firmly "Uglug orc defendur! Gib Uglug chance tu defend Kog!". To this Jyrra was apperantly moved and finally agreed but on his terms. Which were these: If Uglug wins, Kog is no longer a fang of Jyrra and Jyrra would be considered a brother among the Orcs of Kor. If Jyrra wins... Kog remains a Fang of Jyrra but must also be a Fang of Uglug to protect Uglug as he would protect Jyrra.

To this the orcs, and especially Kog, started an uproar of grunts, howls and gabbering. How could a warboss be a Fang of a lower rank? Of a DEFENDER!? That would activly put Kog at a lower rank to only Uglug, which was hard for the orcs to fathom. After some serious thinking and pondering from Kog and after the orcs had fell silent (which took quite some time) Kog went up to Uglug and simply said... "Uglug... win." Uglug wanted Jyrra to go first this time but Jyrra insisted that the challenger go first. This idea was new to Uglug but he went along anyway.

Before Uglug threw his first dagger he chanted over and over to Da'Nogra silently. Now he was ready, he thought, and stepped up. Uglug started out bad with one miss but recovered nicely and got a good score of 70. Uglug and the other orcs grunted and gabbered with glee. Then Jyrra stood up and the grunting stopped and all eyes were on the green robe. He chated to Da'Nogra again but this time her/his luck didn't hold. Perhaps Da'Nogra was also pleased by Uglug's cry to let him have a chance to defend Kog. Jyrra got a dismel score of 25 and the orcs started shouting with glee again.

Jyrra, being a good sport, was content with this outcome. He/She wasn't in total loss anyway as he was now considered a brother among the orcs as per the wager. Kog was very happy with Uglug and comented on his "guda defedar" ability. After most had gone back to gathering, practicing and chasing urks away Uglug went up to Jyrra and mumbled "Guda game". Jyrra simply chuckled and agreed.

Uglug was now feeling quite tired and annouced "Uglug hab tu gu nuw. Glug eveun! Glug Kog!". The orcs and the green robes answered and Uglug went back into the fort after a surprisingly eventful day.

Expansion Halted

26-NOV-2000
Written by Scribe of Kor

King Kor gathered the orcs to push forward and claim the land south of Yew, to the Fort. The intent was to control the land surrounding the large water mass, soon to be named the Orc Sea.

As the orcs were receiving last minute instructions in the fort, an odd but particular odor had arrived. Elves. The orcs readied themselves inside the fort, waiting for an elven assault. It never came.

Getting overwhelmed by the smell that was now contaminating ORK soil, the orcs led a charge out the front gate. The elves were engulphed in orcs. It seems these elves, had actually leart some orc tactics though. They kept each other healed. Slowly, one by one, orcs fell.

The orc ghosts withdrew to the nearest wandering healer.

*sighs*

The elves dispersed, allowing the orcs an opportunity to reclaim their equipment. Again the orcs were gathered in the fort. No elves were in sight, so they decided to begin their mission. They were going to kill everything in sight from the Orc Fort to the Yew border.

The orcs were nearing the small humie village to the north of the fort, when again, the odor of elves could be smelt. The Elven Order had indeed returned and were determined to stand in the orc's way. They proclaimed the territory to the north to be the land of elves, and they were there to defend it.

The orcs, quickly rushed at them, and in seconds, an elf fell. The orcs shouted out their war cry, as they could feel their victory at hand. Or perhaps they were sensing their own death. Repeating the trajedy that occured at the Orc Fort, orcs fell, one by one.

Again, orc ghosts sought out a healer and then reformed at the Orc Fort. Once everyone had been patched up, Kor advised that they would indeed claim land this night. King Kor said that they will press north another night, when there are more orcs around. For now, they would claim more land to the west.

The orcs began their mission, and slayed anything and everthing in their way. Critter, Badie and Humie. They all died a quick and painful death as orc krimp groups quickly surrounded their foes. The orcs managed to capture all the land northwest of the Orc Pass.

As depicted below, the area in orange is now claimed as the Land of Kor.

Guda Tribute from Imadufus

27-NOV-2000
Written by Scribe of Kor

As of recently, Imadufus, (called "Deerboy" by Kor), has often come by to visit. He is usually good about paying tribute, despite his rather bad manners.

Imadufus greatly desires to be a chummer, but yet has failed to learn that he must stay out of the Tower in the Orc Fort, and has failed to learn, that he can not attack orcs and disrespect their leaders, simply on a whim. Although, this is usually reason to treat him as "clomp on site", because of his tributes, we will tolerate him for a little longer.

Imadufus' tributes have exceeded 150,000 shinies.

Urks Raid Again

29-NOV-2000
Written by Scribe of Kor

Kor was having a good sleep in the Clan Shack when the noise of grunts and growls woke him up. It sounded like the grunts were having a disagreement again. Kor was going to quell this quickly. While mumbling about "tupid runtis", King Kor kicked open the door, and saw a hoard of urks beyond. Many orcs had engaged these vile beasts, so all seemed fine. Then Kor noticed amoungst these beasts were, Orc Mage Lords, Orc Scouts and Orc Lord Captains. Kor began throwing out fire fields to fry these urks. Alas, with all his mana energy drained, Kor weilded his war mace, and charged into the urk troops.

It took many healies and many broken weapons, but finally the urk raiding part was defeated.

Despite the victory, Kor seemed very angered. Kor is determined to think, that there is an urk king or some other greater evil that keeps sending the urks to this Orc Fort. Kor also believes that if the urks are trying so hard to re-capture the Orc Fort, that it must serve as some significant strategic importance to them. Worse yet, Kor's scouts have not been successful in finding the source of the urks.

Kor has sworn that the efforts to locate the urk leader will continue. Should the Orc Fort fall, Kor has warned that he still has a soul stealing, Morganti dagger, and that he will use it on the orc that he feels was primarily responsible for the fall of the fort. If the fear of Kor was not fear enough, the fear of a stolen soul that shall never meet Da'Nogra and will not reside in Zar Tol Mar, should be the final encouragement.
